Misty Mountain Throw

There is nothing quite like a landscape of a continental-scale mountain range. For someone coming from an island as small as Ireland, witnessing the Rocky Mountains in the Americas, the Alps in Mainland Europe, or the mountains of Xingping in Guilin, China there is simply only one word to use; awesome.

As we say in Ireland, it really puts manners on you.

Apart from the humbling nature of seeing something this big ahead of you, it also fills you with a sense of intrigue as the peaks climb off into the distance wrapped in hues of deep rocky blue into an ephemeral green and finally into the whisps of misty earthy tones at the farthest distances. All those valleys not explored, adventures you will have to leave for another day…

So I’ll just have to settle for designing this throw and wrapping myself up in it as I go off to sleep to dream about all those adventures yet to be had.

This design comes in three sizes, detailed in the accompanying images, each with a design specifically created for its’ respective dimensions.

Designed here in our studio in Dublin, Ireland, and manufactured on the east coast of the United States, it is a combination of modern design techniques married to the aesthetic of the Jacquard Loom weaving process.
