Curling Clouds Throw

There is something significantly cathartic about a good old storm. Living in the westernmost country of Europe, jutting out into the Atlantic, we see our fair share of them. Fortunately for me, I don’t bear the brunt of these storms that hit my brethren in the south and west of the country, so I’m not sure they would feel the same way about cyclonic events like I do.

From a stormy night in Paris as you make you way home, to watching a storm rise over the Rocky Mountains on our way from Banff to Vancouver, or a typhoon settling in over Shenzhen in China, the awesome power of the atmosphere going head to head with the, seemingly, immutable earth is one of existential realism.

The best of all are the echoes of these moments found in the settling of your first pint of Guinness when you arrive back home in Dublin; these are the most satisfying. This was the inspiration for the last of the four Landscape designs; we have finally brought all the elements of earth, wind, fire and water together with the fond memories of fine travels well spent.

Designed here in our studio in Dublin, Ireland, and manufactured on the east coast of the United States, it is a combination of modern design techniques married to the aesthetic of the Jacquard Loom weaving process.

Being a natural fiber, cotton is lightweight, soft and durable, hypoallergenic, and ideal for sensitive skin. The finest quality yarn is used in our throws manufacture and is both odour and stain resistant, and easy to maintain. Please keep in mind that cotton is prone to shrinkage, so always wash on a cold cycle, and instead of completely drying the blanket in the tumble dryer on the lowest heat setting, dry it until it is free of moisture but still a little damp, and then air dry it outside until completely dry.
