The Distant Dunes pattern throw in woven cotton
$80.00 – $170.00
From the seemingly endless dunes of the Sahara to the snow-raked sands of the Gobi, or the lines of the Nazca, the desert is a place of simplicity and radiance. The Distant Dunes pattern reflects this sensation.
The next in the series of design patterns focused on the landscape that I am producing to echo the four medieval elements of earth, water, fire, and air. Fire was proving to be the most thoughtful of the four; the destructive nature of fire didn’t resonate with the wonderous effect our landscapes bring, I wanted to more reflect on the transformative quality of heat. And so then it struck me remembering standing on the very edge of the northern Sahara, gazing out over sand as far as the eye could see.
Featuring the ombre effect fade from gold in the foreground to the soft cream in the distance, and a rich purple and teal reverse, color is married to pattern in this geometric motif design.
This design comes in three sizes, detailed in the accompanying images, each with a design specifically created for its’ respective dimensions.
Designed here in our studio in Dublin, Ireland, and manufactured on the east coast of the United States, it is a combination of modern design techniques married to the aesthetic of the Jacquard Loom weaving process.
